The hotel would be built alongside Interstate 15, near the Cracker Barrel, while retail space would be built at Blue Diamond Road and Dean Martin Drive, an intersection where more than 50,000 vehicles passed each day. The retail component would include approximately 28,000 sq ft (2,600 m2) spread across four buildings, and was expected to be complete within a year, while the Hyatt was expected to open in June or July 2019. At the time of groundbreaking, old plans were being reviewed and new ones were being created in consideration of how to develop the remaining land. Among the old plans being considered was the 20-story hotel tower.[11][15] A 24-hour Starbucks opened at Silverton Village in December 2018,[16] followed by a Blaze Pizza restaurant two months later.[17]
