Decided to finally bite the bullet and go for the flipper clip here. It's still ass, but it's a lot more manageable with this strat, for me at least. Given how much I dislike this clip though, I really wanted to knuckle down and get the route nice and solid so that I wouldn't have to redo this. And as a result I...ended up beating the TAS? Lol? Idk how that's happened, the TAS uses mostly the same route (including the clip), I just managed to optimise it a bit more. Still should be impossible to beat a TAS real time, just means there's far more optimisation that could be done there! But, gives you a decent indication of the solidness of this run. The cycles have to be right on to get some of this shit to work though, so I was almost forced to optimise it this much. Passing the bumpers at about 10 seconds especially, it's so specific (and the jump window is very small there as well). Overall, really happy with this one.
